Photographer · Educator · Shutter Speak Founder
Hi, I’m Joseph Nuzzo.
I help photographers understand their cameras—and create photographs with confidence.
Based in the Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch area of Florida, I work as a professional photographer and teach through Shutter Speak on YouTube and Shutter Speak Academy.
Real photography.
Practical explanations.
My experience spans press photography, portraits, weddings, and real estate. Working in different situations has taught me that knowing why a setting matters is more useful than memorizing a menu.
That’s the idea behind Shutter Speak: explain the camera clearly, connect the setting to the photograph, and give you something useful to try on your next shoot.
Photography education for Nikon Z users
At Shutter Speak Academy, you’ll find courses, workshops, and personal coaching covering Nikon Z autofocus, exposure, flash, bird photography, and camera technique.
For camera clubs
A presentation should
teach a skill.
Bring practical photography education to your group. My camera club programs connect useful techniques with examples your members can put to work.
