Toy Story 5 Reminded Me Why I Fell in Love With Photography
Technology moves fast. Every year we’re told we need the latest camera, the newest autofocus system, or more megapixels. But after seeing Toy Story 5, I was reminded that photography has never really been about the camera.
Inspired by one unforgettable scene in the movie, I dusted off my old Nikon D40—a camera that’s nearly two decades old—and spent the day making photographs. What I discovered surprised me and reminded me why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
In this video I’ll share:
? Why an old camera can still inspire creativity
? Photos taken with the Nikon D40
? Why chasing new gear isn’t the key to better photography
? The lesson every photographer should remember
Whether you shoot with a brand-new Nikon Z8 or an older DSLR that’s been sitting on a shelf, I hope this video reminds you that the joy of photography has never been about the latest technology.
? I’d love to hear from you:
What’s the oldest camera you still own? Have you used it recently? Let me know in the comments!
