In this video I will show you how to update the firmware on your Nikon Z lens or the FTZ adapter. As of the writing of this post, there are currently seven Nikon Z lens that have firmware updates and two for the FTZ adapter as well. I’ll show you how to check your firmware and walk you through how to download and update your firmware.

That didn’t work !
Put FTZ update onto SD Card.
Inserted SD Card.
Attached my FTZ.
Turned on Camera.
Saw Notice “FTZAadpter Firmware Not Supported…”
Setup Menu > Firmware version > OK
All I get is C 1.21
MA—.—
Done.
No option to upgrade.
SD Card was formatted
Check to see if your camera has the latest firmware first before attempting to update the FTZ adapter. That could be the cause. Let me know what happens.
